The PADI Open Water Course is THE introduction to the sport for those that are serious about learning to Scuba Dive, PADI is the world's largest and most recognised diver training organisation and with your Open Water Certificate you can hire equipment around the world and dive to a recommended maximum depth of 18 metres without an instructor. The PADI Open Water Course is a structured course that ensures that all people who have passed are both competant and safe divers, you are required to pass a test and demonstrate practical skills in order to qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. The course includes knowledge development sessions which ensure that you are well grounded in dive theory, pool practice dives where you will learn skills that will prepare you for being an independent diver, finally you will do four open water (ocean or lake) dives with your instructor. All tuition, course material and equipment is included in the course cost. There may be a minimal fee for site entrance fees depending on the centre. |
