PADI Open Water Diver course
With the Open Water Diver course you’ll be starting from scratch (unless you’ve completed a different diving class). You’ll learn everything you need to know to dive in the ocean, anywhere in the world without needing to be accompanied by an instructor. You’ll learn how to safely plan your own future dives. With this certificate you’ll be able to dive with another certified diver up to 18 metres, which may just give you a taste for the Advanced Open Water Diver course, where you begin to specialize in specific areas (depth, exploration etc.).

The PADI Open Water course consists of 3 phases over a period of 5 days. The first phase covers 5 theory modules explaining each stage of the course, step by step (4 classes, 1.30h each). There’ll be video presentations and explanations from the instructors. The second phase takes place in the pool or in confined waters, where in 4 practical sessions, you’ll learn how to handle the equipment and acquire the skills you’ll put into use out in open water. Finally, you’ll do 4 open water dives of up to 18m, accompanied by your instructor. With your Open Water Certificate you can hire equipment around the world and dive to a recommended maximum depth of 18 metres without an instructor. The journey that will last a lifetime starts here! |
