Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a full certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it. While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you'll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to &after all, human beings weren't designed to do that & but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge instructors have with the Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the program is over. The fun part? It's all fun!

At the end you will receive a certificate that can be used as a credit (both time and money) towards the full PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Course. Have a look at the Scuba Diver and Open Water course holiday packages that we also offer on Adventure Sport Holidays.

What you learn:

You get to grips with the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of one our friendly and experienced Instructors. One thing you'll figure out very quickly is that how easy it is to breathe underwater. You will also learn:
• What wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater with all of the equipment (weightlessness)
• Some basic skills, safety rules and signs that can carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step

Itinerary / Highlights

8.30am onwards:

We will give you a complete briefing about the equipment, safety, underwater communication, and the basic skills you will learn. And then we'll go for your confined water session to a maximum depth of 2 metres.

14.00pm onwards:

Boat dive one guided by one of our Instructors to a maximum depth of 6 metres. Then we come back to the port, have a drink & chill out for an hour and then off for your second & ultimate boat dive of the day. For sure you will need a good & long sleep to recover after this amazing adventure!

We will welcome you at our award winning dive centre, located in Golfe Juan, half way between Antibes (10 minutes) and Cannes. We are only a five minute walk from Golfe Juan/Vallauris train station, where trains run every thirty minutes. Nearby are a number of good, reasonably priced Provencal restaurants. Also an excellent Snack Bar. There are a number of bars and a good beach nearby for non diving friends and family.
